We are a military family stationed in Virginia. We've run across plaques similar to what we offer here numerous times through the years. Back in 2000, we decided to try our hand at making a plaque for our own home. We built it and after hanging it proudly in our home, we began to get compliments and a few friends even asked us to build a plaque personalized for them. We built a few and over the years, as our friends have moved on, we've kept their plaques up to date by making additional "bones."

Our intent is to provide a quality, personalized product so military families across the country can enjoy these unique pieces. The website is designed so that you can design your own HomeBones and view them almost exactly as they will appear when they are shipped to you. The centerpiece of this beautiful plaque set is the handpainted home scene on the main plaque. The acrylic painting on wood serves up just the right blend of colors and will match just about any room you choose to display your HomeBones. Each "bone" is cut, sanded, and whitewashed before the lettering is added. Finally, the arrival and departure dates for each location are added and the connecting hooks are attached. The result is a simple, yet beautiful piece of art that not only helps decorate your home but documents your travels with the United States military.
